Festival International de Jazz de Montréal

July 1st
Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah

A New Orleans native, Christian is one of today's most prominent young jazz musicians. Immersed in the Indian traditions of Mardi Gras since birth, he has been known as a jazz trumpeter since his teenage years. He has since created his own artistic reality, which he calls “stretch music” – a mix of styles and approaches, with a good dose of groove. Since the beginning of his career, he has remained a staunch advocate for human rights and a harsh critic of injustices around the world. The last time he was at the Jazz Festival, the one who was called by JazzTimes Magazine “Jazz’s young style God” sold out three nights in a row! This is not to be missed!
