/ Michael Mittermeier
The comedy career of Michael Mittermeier began in the late 80’s. 30 years later, he’s still going strong, finding creative pleasure on various playgrounds. Currently he is touring with his 7th live show WILD, published his 3rd book Die Welt für Anfänger (A Beginner’s Guide to the World) in 2016, and just celebrated a highly successful sequel of the Rat Pack homage Alive & Swingin, on a completely sold-out tour.
His comedy albums have achieved gold and even platinum status, making Michael Mittermeier one of Germany’s most accomplished comedians. Over the years he has been awarded numerous prizes, including six times the “German Comedy Prize”, three times the “Eins Live Krone” (one of Germany’s most renowned radio prizes) as well as an “Echo” (the German Grammy).
Mittermeier built the foundations for a successful career performing in English with a six-month sabbatical in New York City, where he took the plunge into the local club scene. He later became the first German comedian to ever perform at Just For Laughs when he debuted in 2009. We’re thrilled to have him back!
